How it works

From first call to first session.

We handle the insurance paperwork. Treatment can start within a few days of your assessment and insurance authorization.

    A 30-minute, one-on-one visit in our office about your history, past treatments, and goals.

    Insurance approval

    We verify your benefits and file the prior authorization, then explain your costs up front.

    Your first session

    We find your treatment spot and dose, then you start. No anesthesia, no recovery time.

  4. 4

    Daily sessions

    About 5 sessions a week for 4 to 6 weeks, roughly 20 to 40 minutes each. Many people notice improvement within that window.

What services do you offer?
Psychiatric evaluation and medication management, FDA-cleared NeuroStar® TMS, and accelerated TMS. We treat depression, including anxious depression, and NeuroStar® is also cleared as an add-on treatment for adults with OCD.
What happens at the free consultation?
A 30-minute, one-on-one visit in our McLean office. We go over your history, what you have tried, and your goals, and answer your questions. There is no obligation.
Is NeuroStar® TMS safe?
NeuroStar® is FDA-cleared, non-invasive, and needs no anesthesia. The most common side effect is pain or discomfort at or near the treatment site, which usually fades after the first week. There is a rare risk of seizure (less than 0.1% per patient).
Do you take my insurance?
We accept most major insurance, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Tricare. We verify your benefits and handle the authorization for TMS before treatment starts.
Do you see teenagers?
Yes. Our Medical Director, Dr. Ehsan Habibpour, is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, and NeuroStar® is FDA-cleared as an add-on treatment for major depression in patients aged 15 to 21.
